THE E.H.P. BARNARD PRIZE IS LOOKING FOR NEW POEMS ON THE THEME OF
~ HONOUR ~
FOR INCLUSION IN A SHORTLIST, AND TO WIN THREE PRIZES,
AS JUDGED BY NATIONAL POETRY SLAM FINALIST SARAH SMITH.
Opens 1 March 2021, Closes 30 April 2021 (midnight)
Announcements: Shortlist 19 June, Winners 26 June 2021
For poems up to 400 words.
1st Prize – £100 + a poem video, professionally performed, produced and promoted.
2nd Prize – £75
3rd Prize – £50
Entry fee – £1.50 per poem
Sarah Smith is a poet and spoken word artist based in Wokingham, Berkshire. A National Poetry Slam finalist, current champion of BBC War of the Words, and a regular at the Dreading Poetry Slam, Sarah’s also performed at Jawdance London, 451 Southampton, Reading Literature Festival, Cookham Festival, Greenbelt Festival, Boomerang, Bookface, and the Big Untidy. Her spoken word show ‘Tracks’ premiered in 2019 and her debut pamphlet ‘Crackers’ is available through her website, wordsmith.org.uk.
